The tax return filing deadline for the majority of Canadians is April 30. You will receive your investment-related tax documents by this date.

The taxation of your investments depends on the specific type of investment account you hold with us.. We currently offer non-registered accounts, Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs), and Tax-Free Savings Accounts (TFSAs).

Not sure what kind of account you have? No problem! Just click on your goal in the app and look directly under the goal name. If you have more than one goal, you have more than one investment account with us, so be sure to check all of them.

So, what documents are sent?

TFSA - nothing (it's tax-free!)
RRSP - contribution slip
Non-registered - T3 if investment income >$100.
Non-registered - Trust income report if <$100

And when will I receive them?

Tax information and relevant forms will be provided to you in your Documents section at the end of March.

We only receive the required tax information from our providers near the end of March, and can therefore only share it with you after that time. We understand that some users prefer to file their taxes early and that this may be inconvenient. The timing is unfortunately out of our control and will be on the same schedule every year going forward.

As a reminder, the deadline to file your personal tax return is April 30th for most Canadians, giving you a full month in which to file your taxes.

For further questions about filing your taxes, we strongly suggest you consult a government website or a licensed tax professional.
