Understanding Dividends
If you hold shares in a company that issues dividends, you may be eligible to receive a dividend payment.
To qualify, you must have purchased and held shares before the ex-dividend date — this is the key date set by the company to determine which shareholders are entitled to receive the dividend.
How Dividends Work at Mogo:
Dividends are processed automatically by Mogo.
The cash from dividends will be credited to the account that holds the relevant shares.
You can view your dividend payments in the History section, located under the Account tab in your Mogo app.
Important Timing Details
Payment Date: All dividends are officially paid on the payment date announced by the company.
Processing Delays: Although dividends are paid on the payment date, there may be a delay before the dividend proceeds appear in your account.
This delay can occur because:The company may take additional time to disburse the dividends.
The Canadian Depository Services must process and deliver the dividend payments to our partner broker before they are posted to your account.
